Discover St. Louis Park, a non-profit destination marketing organization, is seeking a Marketing Manager. This position will help the organization meet its vision to market, promote and sell St. Louis Park and Golden Valley as convenient destinations for visitors, travelers, meetings/special event planners and groups. Self-directed, given autonomy to manage time, conscientious, dedicated, hardworking and problem-solving skills are essential.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/background:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Hospitality or related field
5 + years related experience

Responsibilities would include:

  • Conceptualize, execute and track ROI of all digital, print, radio, TV and outdoor marketing campaigns, delivering projects on time and on budget
  • Lead company-wide brainstorming sessions and turn them into actionable creative strategies
  • Manage department’s annual budget while tracking on an ongoing basis
  • Protect and enhance brand
  • Lead and oversee strategic social media marketing
  • Keep up-to-date on marketing trends and new technologies while appropriately incorporating them into business strategies
  • Coordinate and execute comprehensive media planning and buying
  • Provide creative direction and oversee production of all marketing and promotional materials 
  • Implement sales team tools and marketing activities to support sales efforts
  • Write and send in-house email marketing and press releases
  • Analyze and solve complex marketing /communication problems
  • Lead the continued development and execution of website and multi-digital channel activities
  • Measure and quantify results, providing timely and meaningful reporting
  • Establish and nurture relationships with vendors, Board of Directors and community stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned by the President and CEO

Performance Expectations: This individual will have the ability to work independently and lead specific projects within the department, reporting progress. The role requires an individual who can maximize resources, prioritize multiple tasks, and develop shared ideas. This person should effectively lead and contribute to meetings, making a positive impact on department goals and strategic plans.

Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 DOE
